yep, looks like this is gonna hurt the ol' wallet....
nothing but a flooded stormdrain, covered the road with about 30cm deep of water.... no pot holes, nothing....
well, theres always a bright side, right? maybe its time to look into that supercharger while the engine out....:)

Yea i was thinking about this today and thought surely insurance would cover it. I know from my 4wding days if someone drowned their 4wd in a river crossing insurance would pay that out...essentially the same problem.Quote:

No, not my car's twin!! We haven't even been on a cruise together!!! Very bad luck mate.
Get the insurance to cover it, these engines are very hard to come by and they are certanly not cheap!!

more arguing with insurance companies.... man they can be pricks, i never managed to get them to fix those key scratches let alone a new short block.
everythings stock on the r at the moment (after this, prob not for long) and depending on prices of oem gear it very well might not be stock after.....:)
as for a cruise, a good friend of mine just bought that black r in sydney and is having it shipped over, it arrives friday, and hes a bit hesitant in showing me cos of whats happened!
so there will be 3 identical black Rs at a the next cruise (when my babys back from the dead)
