    Wheel Bearings for 4Mo

Short of ordering them from ECS and waiting, I was after some wheel bearings for the Bora. I am fitting the stage 2 ECS Susp Refresh and my Weitecs shocks/springs and figure might as well do the wheel bearings too.

Can i buy them locally and easily?

Not convinced changing wheel bearings just for the sake of it is worth the trouble?

I have had 3 front wheel bearings go on me since 1987 when I started driving.

My theory was that i might as well refresh what i could on the car. Though i do believe the vibration hum i hear is more so from cheap, nasty, mismatched tyres and failing suspension.

If you are suspicious of them, then go ahead. They can be hard work to get out without a press. Would prevent having to get an alignment done a second time too.

Good chance the hum is a scalloped sawtoothed tyre. There is refresh and refresh, replacing cassette bearing for refreshment purposes i would think about, bush refresh kits yes for obvious reasons but you are giving yourself a bit of work if they are not reqd. I would be well sure of the bearing before tasking yourself without it
