    Hate electrical problems

RE: P1426 - Tank ventilation valve open circuit

Solenoid stuck open? Check the connector to the purge valve on top of the charcoal cannister? You should also hear a clicking sound as it open/closes to let the fuel vapors into the intake if it is working correctly.

Why would the MAF be the problem when the issue is the car has no power over 2500 rpm because the throttle isn't opening all the way? Does the MAF stop the throttle position sensor opening?

I had to drive to Wagga yesterday to pick up my daughter's scooter. On the way there I averaged 11.1 litres, coming back with the scooter it got 11.0 and felt slightly better to drive. Normally I'd say the long drive (7 hours) cleaned out a few things but I drive over an hour each day (and 100 ks) to get to work so there shouldn't be any stop/start gunk in the engine.

The car was beautiful to drive despite the lack of power going up hills and having the trailer/scooter on the back made no difference to how it performed. It still slows down to 90 k's on the big hills, trailer or no trailer but doesn't get any slower and cruises at 110.

Next step is to check the voltage going to the accelerator and to the throttle. Might even run 5v direct to the throttle to see if that clears out some cobwebs.

Does anyone know where I can download a wiring diagram?

Looks like they charge for the service. I'm looking for something free.

It came through fine. Now I just need to work out which bit isn't getting the full 5v to the throttle position sensor.

    Thanks.
