Coilpacks being replaced by VW under a VIN specific service campaign in Australia

Just took my R32 in to get some suspension work done and my VIN comes up for a service "recall" for the coilpacks, similar to USA campaign.

    Mine is Nov 2003 build.

There are a number of different vehicles covered by this, so ring VW and check if you are covered.

They couldn't be more specific unfortunately, they just type your VIN into the system and it says "yay" or "nay".

    Mine said "yay"

I have just called up and yes all mk4 .:r32s delivered in australia are eligable, the only problem being i just changed my coilpacks and they wont reimburse me, i kept my old ones but it just doesnt seem worth putting the old ones back in to take it into the deal only to have them swap in new ones which i already have..... times like this make me want to punish someone in wolfsburg

What did they cost you It could be handy to have a spare set on hand even when you sell the car the new owner would be happy.

x2. Mine were recently replaced too! Wonder if I could still get it done, and keep the ones that they take out?
