Bora 4 - Motion ABS and Traction Control lights on dash

    Hi Guys,
I was driving hm the other day in my 2001 Bora 4 -Motion when noticed Aircon all of a sudden was not working and thermo fan was not working. I was close to home so got hm without car getting too hot.
I checked all connections of fuses on top of battery and everything seemed ok.

I started it up and Aircon working again and thermo fan working properly . Then all of the sudden the ABS and Traction control lights are on the dash and will not go out . Sometimes lights stay on before car is driven, or sometimes they not on when car starts but come on when I go over approx 25km/hr and then they stay on.
If anybody knows what could be please let me know

    Thanks Paul

You may have a bad connection at the distribution block on top of the battery.
Check the bolted terminals are tight on the strip fuses.

Sent from a better device than yours!

Yeah I checked all the 10mm bolts on the strip fuses and they all seem good

Probably need to get it scanned for error codes. Sounds like you might have two problems. (1) The fan control module breaking down when it's hot for the aircon issue. (2) Dodgy wheel sensor for the ABS light, but it could be a lot of things. A scan will give you the clues you need.

the ESP button will work when I start the car if lights do not come on the dash until I drive it.

Sometimes the dash light come on as soon as I start it

Yeah looks like will have to get it scanned next service.

Just seems strange it happened after aircon fan do not come, that the ABS and traction control lights come on dash

think it might be your YAW controler.. scan the car and it will give you a code..
