    Mk4 GTI Speedo issue

    Hey guys,

I've had a recent problem pop up with the speedo on my Mk4 and i'm wondering if anybody has had the same issue or knows what the cause could be.

The revs and oil gauge are working properly but my speedo is constantly on zero, the petrol gauge is moving up and down and giving me that nice "hey, you have no petrol" beeping sound (mainly when i go around corners).

I found a thread (with fix) on another forum where a guy had the exact same problem on a 1.6 Mk4 that just ended up being some snapped wiring under the battery tray. I checked under the battery tray a few days ago just to find that the (blue/white) wire he is talking about doesn't exist on my car.

    Any help is appreciated

    Thanks in advance,

    Slaj

I was going to say the speedo was from you de moding your car and damaging the wiring like everyone seems to do.
    but fuel as well...
Kirsts polo had a cluster melt down, was meant to be a loose connection behind the cluster/fuse box or dodgy ground but it sorted itself out

Thank's Dyl, nah don't think it's from the modding haha. I've found a lot of threads of people having the same problem, but no solution other than that blue/white wire under the tray which my car doesn't have. This is the wire i'm talking about btw
