interesting question to ponder: VY HSV Senator dish rims on a Bora?

    Here's an interesting question...

You know how heaps of people in europe fit Bentley Continental and VW Phaeton winter rims on the mkIV, I think a set of VY HSV Senator/ WK Grange dish rims would give a similar classy euro look.

They're 18"x8" with 48mm offset but with 5x120 thread...could probably cure it with some adapters.

Below is a rough photoshop mockup. What does everyone think?

Saw those wheels on eBay, been eyeing them for a long time but not at the price they're going for currently.

Personally think they'll look better on a Bora than a hatch. Should look really good I reckon, and there's plenty of room for adapters to play with.

    Interesting.
Shame they are only 8s, don't know why Holden put such skinny wheels on a big rwd car.

Like that the Bora has a bit of commo stance to suit the wheels :p

Good to know I'm not alone!

Yeah the prices are a bit sticky but I reckon the result would be comparable to a set of Carlssons that go for way more! Definately Bora only; those fenders are just begging to be filled!

i have been thinking the same wheels lately seen a few sets go for around 700-800, other cool option are the hdt 19" aeros.

Word! Love it. Although maybe silver would look better - ala 80's Corvette wheels, popular mod in the States.
Could always just plastidip them white every now and then. I do love white rims on a red car:
