tyres for t5 4motion

hi sunny here again,did a savanagh way trip last winter in anew t5 ,went great no probs even getting thru waist deep robinson river, but on corrugations and sand the 17 inch low profile tyres couldnt be let down enough to do the job like my older vans.how high a profile can i go with out warrenty issues?the speedo shouldnt be an issue because my tom tom says it reads 7ks under.can anyone pls advise.
