    VW T4 tyre pressure question

    Hello all,

A little confused, I hope someone in the forum could give me some advice.

I've been enjoying a pre-loved 2001 VW T4 Diesel Trakka for around 16 months now. I have a minor physical disability and the camper has been a great way to access nature even if I cannot now go bushwalking.

The previous owner had fitted 16" (Audi) alloy rims and low-quality car tyres. I have kept the rims but fitted Duravis R411 215/60R16 C 103/101R tyres.

    The placard says:
    "195/70 R15 C 104/102R on 6x15 Rim
    Pressure: Front=380kPa (55psi), Rear=400kPa (58psi)
    or
    205/65 R15 C 100T on 6 or 7x15 Wheel Rim
    Pressure: Front=350kPa (51psi), Rear=320kPa (46psi)"

Since the placard doesn't mention that tyre width let alone 16" rims I'm at a loss as to the correct pressure I should be using front / rear. Are you able to advise me please?

    Kind regards
    David

I tend to run mine with 50 in the front and 45 in the back... And I run 205/70R15C tyres. I could run less in the back given it is a mostly unladen DOKA. However, given yours is a laden camper....

Yeah, with C rated tyres, 45 - 50 would be the go.
If you look at the fine print on the tyre, it will tell you the maximum psi.
