T4 AC wiring

The Thermo fans on my mint condition 2002 T4 LWB Petrol campervan switch on (low speed) with the cabin fan switch regardless of the AC button being on or off. Has always been this way!
Apparently in reading the various forums on this rather strange wiring of the thermo fans (coming on with the cabin fan switch) it was common on the Australian models as the A/C units were fitted by Delco locally. Probably doesn’t cause major issues. Other than slower engine warm up and additional wear needlessly running the thermo fans.
Is there any information around about modding the circuit to work more conventionally.
or any knowledgeable T4 auto electricians around Adelade?

Any tips appreciated

Yes you are quite right. I have had two T4s, both with the same problem. It was easier for the original Auto electrician who installed these local units to do it the way they did. I have never liked it myself but never spent the time to investigate an alternative. If you come up with a solution or hear about one please post back again to help the rest of us.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

Will do! Just seems crazy that we put up with this incorrect wiring and there hasn't been anything published from 2002 on the mod to fix the issue!
