I managed to upload the original external shots just now , bloody Photo Bucket and their greedy grab for money . I fitted the side glass myself as I fit sunroofs so the windows were easy for me .Whatever you do do NOT buy the genuine VW ones "OUCH "$$$$ , when I did mine I was able to purchase all four fixed glass panels for the same price as ONE VW glass !! You need to cut out the metal and then prime the cut edge to reduce any risk of rust , they supply a primer for the sealant and then apply the sealant to the glass place it into position and the press firmly to get good contact all around and then use strips of masking tape to hold the glass in position for a few hours as the sealant dries fast .
Decided to add the photos from the sunroof install

The internal shot is a bit dark but I had retrimmed the roof lining in black as I wanted something different . Attachment 31178
Ahhhhh sunroof! Jealous. Such luxury
Go and see my good mate Peter Sacco at Custom Sunroofs in Melbourne he does the same work as I do .
Amazing work Sunny- looks great.
What would a sunroof for a T6 cost (including install)?
Well I use what is described as very high tech tin opener, it slices the steel rather than other methods. Its a Bosch Shear and like I said it slices the steel and you dont get any filings or rough edges . You could use a nibbler or next worse a jig saw with a metal cutting blade, if you use a jig saw just make sure you clean up all filings so they dont go rusty . TheKiwi could you send me a PM for the price .
Just had a chance to look through the photos.
That's great work.
This is awesome. Sunny, is it possible to fit a sun roof where the glass slides back flush? I've done my van up as a bit of a stealth camper and it would be cool to be able to open the roof for ventilation rather than the side window which gives away there are people sleeping inside :).
