    Multivan T6 touch screen issues

Hi, I have a 2017 Multivan T6 which is having touch screen issues. It's starting to become less sensitive to touching the screen icons & sometimes doesn't even recognise touch at all. Also when this happens the actual physical buttons on the side don't switch between functions. I'm wondering if this is common & if there's a software reset or something that can be done.? Any feedback wold be much appreciated!

If it's under warranty make it the dealer's problem.
If not which head unit do you have? What's the software version?

    Not under warranty unfortunately.
It's the head unit in the photo but I'm unsure of the software version. I'm not using VW maps, just Google maps so was hoping software isn't something that needs to be updated. Just need a way to increase the screen's sensitivity to touch & be able to operate easily.

Just do what I do every two years I rip out whatever is in our two vans and replace it with one of these . Latest Android with huge screen not that truncated little thing VW supply . All touch screen with built in GPS Bluetooth Internet browsing through hotspot front and rear camera capable and built in car monitoring . In ours it shows door open seatbelt warning and a heap of other engine items fuel water temp battery etc . Ok down side NO CD player so we either stream online radio via bluetooth from our phones or we download music videos or music to USB stick and plug that in . I bought two of them about 12 months ago and both are working perfectly .Hot Sale Android 10.0 4g Car Radio Multimedia Video Player Navigation Gps 2 Din - Buy Car Radio Gps 2 Din,Car Dvd Radio Multimedia Player,Gps Navigation Product on Alibaba.com Forgot to mention because they are so much better value you can update them every couple of years and get the latest GPS maps free along with the latest technology as well all for under $300 why pay outrageous prices for VW ones which in most cases are way outdated with maps and operating system , you could by one of these every year for 10 years and still be in front of a $3000 VW unit .

Great advice, definitely something to think about. I shudder to think a VW specialist will charge to look at it , let along what the solution would be. It's just so bloody annoying when a touch screen doesn't always work. Switching on and off etc. doesn't always fix it either so very frustrating.
