    Large Red Cable - T6

Hi, while packing my van ready to go away I noticed - under the passenger seat - a large red cable that seems to go nowhere. Does anyone know it's purpose? I could certainly make use of it if it's a spare (from the battery) for some unfitted accessory.

There should be, but maybe it’s missing in yours a red pull handle at the end of that cable.
    It’s a passenger eject feature.
Just kidding, can you post the picture of the cable, how thick it is?

OK here goes...1st one is where the cable appears from below the floor covering

The next one is where it ends up - cable tied to a bracket

I suppose the cable (including insulation is about 5-6mm diam).

Yeah, there was an option for a second battery under one of the seats.

It will most likely go to an 80A fuse which would then go to an auxiliary battery located under your middle bench seat.
This is how mine is wired from factory with the auxiliary battery option.
I’ve since upgraded the 75aH NON deep cycle battery to 2x 75aH deep cycle batteries using a CTek D250s DC/DC charger to control charging/solar and run a 1500w inverter, an Engel fridge, volt gauge and a few USB ports.
Solar panel is next along with more 12v and USB outlets at the rear of the van and some more lighting.
First I have to add another window in the rear for increased viewing options for miss 2.5 on the longer journeys!

Hi Markee pointed out, if it goes to a 80amp fuse its the aux battery option, mine is wired up the same.

Although I've removed the 80 amp Maxi fuse, and took the battery out as I'm now running a Votronic Triple charger, DC-DC, 230 volt and Solar to a 240 ah lithium battery
