Hard starting after sitting for a day or more 2015 2.0

    Long shot but worth asking.
My transporter has developed this weird starting Behaviour over the last 6 months and today wouldn’t start at all.

Car starts normal and runs normal without smoke or power loss. If left for a day or more it willl take a lot longer to crank over (3-4secs compared to instant) similar to a dead battery (can confirm it’s not battery related). However once started it runs normally with normal power, let it cool down completely and it starts fine as well.

is this A fuel pressure problem bleeding down over time?

If you have ruled out the battery (I did mine by checking the voltage under crank load)
Replace the fuel filter and the fuel pump.

If you cycle the key 3 times before you start, enough fuel will be going in and you won't have this problem. Although it will affect the life of your battery.

Is there a fuel pump in the tank as well as the high pressure one on the engine?
