I got the first opportunity to run the Multivan since I fitted the 255/45r18 103y Bridgestone Potenzas on Amarok rims on an open road today.

For joy, the speedo reads as well as the eye discerns exactly the same with the 18s as the 16s when I set the GPS to 100 kmh - let's call it 103.5. More surprising to me was that the ride seems substantially kinder, or maybe that reflected the characteristics of the Michelins I was running before.

I found that too. And that's with sagged out rear springs and shocks. I'm on 19s though.

Hi there, has anyone looked at the 18x8 Amarok wheels? Some of them going very cheap on ebay.... might be a nice upgrade???

    Cheers,

    Have a look at this:

I'm off to Townsville for a week & will have my impressions after that.

I've been looking at this one - 18x8.0 5/120 and offset within spec. Rated to 997kg since I want to stay compliant and would fit out with 255/45/18 103 rubber.

I'm running the 18" Amarok wheels with 255/45r18 103y Bridgestone Potenzas as well. So much better handling.
