Love the colour of your van , wheels do look the part how is the ride ? . I am always concerned once you go past a certain size rim that the smaller profile tyres will give a harsher ride [admits here had a bad experience with some lo profile tyres on my work van some years ago] .

The ride is actually a lot better than before and my old wheels had commercial tyres on. Less road noise and very smooth.

Did you have any troubles with rubbing, gearing or similar?
I have just been gifted a set of brand new wheels from a VW Amarok with 255/60R18 Continentals and i was hoping they’d fit my T5 TDi400

I'm set up the same as Fransz. The 255/60 R18 Bridgestone rubber I have is exactly identical to my original 16s as far as the speedo & GPS are concerned & there's no rubbing.

    Lucky you.

I fitted 255/55/18 Toyo Proxes C100 Plus, ride is great, speedo now bit under, ideally I’d fit 255/50 but couldn’t find that size, had to bolt sides of under car plastic to stop rubbing on full lock on uneven surfaces.

Hi all, new T6 owner here, though 9 year member, from Tiguan 5N section

Here's a pic of some Amarok 18's on my MY18 Crewvan:

I have Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres in 255/45/R18 103Y profile & the ride is great! A lot quieter too. Speedo is exactly the same as stock - reading about 5% over. My main concern was that the rims are only 7.5 wide - would have preferred them to be 8 wide, but was assured by 3 tyre shops that it would be fine. I bought these used with a few superficial scuff marks for $400 + another $1200 for the rubber.

    Happy motoring! Matt

Personally 18,s would be the maximum I would fit , once you go bigger the tyres are lower profile and then comfort goes out the window .
