    Mine is a 2012 132kw with a mechanical diff lock operated electrically by the button the dash.
    I proved this in an asphalt car park by turning it on a driving in circles, both ways, and you can hear the tyres screaming and skipping for grip.

    like others i was asking myself the question of to additional locker or not to additional locker. I've done a lot of sand driving a long time ago in a L300 Express 4x4 and recently in a Prado where a mechanical diff lock in my experience wasn't really needed.

    The video you shared shows where it's invaluable which can sometimes be on the entry exit to those nice beaches.
    I went mechanical diff lock in the end.
