Anyone know the Transmitter Radio frequency for a 2006 Multivan car key? MHz

    Hey guys I have a I have a 2006 Multivan V6 4motion

I lost the original car key and have been using the spare.
However the central locking buttons don't seem to work.

I took it into a lock smith and he said the fob wasn't reprogramming correctly which was strange and said it probably isn't the original key and someone may have replaced it with the wrong one.

Just wondering if anyone knows the part number or frequency number of the FOB so I can buy a new one?
Or how I would go about finding out?

    Cheers!

Thanks for the reply, yeah he did plug a computer into the car to do it and it said successful , but strangely it didn’t work.
Maybe a job for a Vw dealer then.

Post a pic of the fob, Aus keys use 434Mhz

    Two-button - 1J0 959 753 CT
    Three-button - 1J0 959 753 DK

From the diagram, the fob can be removed and attached to the key section, learning of the remote code can then be done with VCDS
The RFID chip can be transplanted so no messing with the immobiliser

    Thank you Mig helps alot,
mine is the two button style.
The numbers inside are - 1J0 959 753 CT and it is indeed 434Mhz

I actually already bought a replacement FOB online with these specifications above.
The locksmith tried to calibrate the new fob and the spare I already had with the car without success. 'although his machine did say successful'
maybe I need to try at a new locksmith?
    Thanks,
    Manu

The learning procedure should be close to this; The Multivan of that generation should have a gen3 setup.

Find a shop with VCDS or similar, or hunt someone local on the forum here and offer up some beer
