    Limp Mode

2017 V6 Amarok 21000ks. Went directly into limp mode with no prior warnings. No DPF warning.
    OBDeleven scan shows:
P246300 - Particulate filter restriction - Soot accumulation bank 1.
P010500 - Manifold absolute pressure/ Barometric pressure circuit.
P200200 - particulate trap bank 1 efficiency below threshold.
    Unable to force DPF regen.
Do MAP sensors have any history of premature failure.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey I can use a loophole in the software to enable a regen to start, I’m an agent for Pendle Performance LTD in the Uk.

When it happened on my V6 Amarok, only my old trusted Snap On scanner was able to force the regen. The VCDS, OBD11 and Gscan2 couldn’t do it. Take it to independent VW mechanic who has the SnapOn scanner to try the regeneration.

Or remove the DPF's and flush them out with water, refit them and then reset DPF info with VCDS software. This is what I had to do on my SQ5 (similar-ish engine to the V6 Amarok) as neither myself nor my VW specialist mechanic could get the car to force a regen.

Once you get it sorted I suggest you buy a Carista dongle ($40 odd bucks) and an App called VAGDPF (for Android phones) which you can use to monitor the DPF and how full it is etc, so you know when to take the car for a drive to let it clean itself. With my car, its every 500km or so.

Do you recall how many kms you had on the odometer when this first happened? Has it happened since? If not, how have you managed the situation?
