I followed Lucas_R's advice and got myself a Carista and the VAG DPF app. It arrived yesterday, I started logging data today, so too early to give feedback, but I am keen to analyse it in detail after one forced regen and a second limp mode reset, previously.

Is there much of a market for secondhand DPF's? I'm just asking as I have one from my V6, with only about 250km on it that may be of use to someone if required.

Have you had the dpf written out of the code? Otherwise it may cause issues and drop into limp mode

They are worth a small fortune so you could sell it.

That was what I was thinking but not sure on the failure rates of DPF's in the V6 Amaroks. I don't think I have enough posts to put a post up in the classified section yet maybe it won't let me currently or there is no option for me for some reason.

The V6 Amaroks are probably too new to have too many DPF failures yet (and most failures would be either covered under warranty or new ones purchased new via the VW dealership).

I think the classified section is only accessible after you have made 100 posts or something - to stop people signing up purely to try and sell something.

Using VAG DPF on a 2018 V6 with 50,000 ks.
Regen is about every 250km at (usually) about 39+ grams of soot.
When finished it varies between 4.5 and 6 grams left. Depends on whether the regen is highway or traffic.
