    Cruise control not engaging

    Hi all,

I have a 2011 Amarok with cruise control. About 6 months ago the cruise control stopped working.

(It used to work, so it definitely has cruise control).

The button on the stalk is set to “on” but the light doesn’t show on the dash like it used to.

Flicking it to “off” and back to “on” doesn’t help.

Is there a fuse? Any tips on how to get it working again?

    Cheers,
    Darbio

Needs scanning with vcds to see if there's any faults. Could be a few things. I have seen other ECUs totally forget CCS is there and they need it coding off and back on.

Cheers guys. I’ll give VCDS a buzz tomorrow.

VW Leichhardt wanted $220 just for a scan and then they said if it came up with a code they would fix for extra $$. Seems like a rort!

That's just a standard VW dealership fee (eg 1 hour labour). Its a rip off but nothing out of the ordinary. There are a bunch of DIY scan tools these days that you can buy that will allow you to diagnose faults and clear faults for basically any issue you might ever have (eg Carista, OBDEleven or VCDS) from the convenience of your own driveway.
