    Amarok injector removal

    Hi all, greetings from NZ.

my son failed to get his cam belt changed on his 2014 DC amarok, and now its stripped some teeth off it.

ive put a new belt and tensioner on and reset the timing but it wont start ( as expected )

ive decided to strip it down and check the amount of damage before I chuck it away and find another engine.

3 injectors came out easily but no1 is stuck solid. I suspect it is caked up with a load of carbon and fried oil residue.

any of you guys come across this before and can help with advice please?

    cheers

    phil

TDI injector puller kit, which is basically a small slide hammer that comes with various adaptors that screw onto the injector where the fuel line normally goes.

Given up removing injector for now, decided to smash rocker cover off to assess other damage.

found 6 broken followers, time to get on eBay and hope thats the end of the drama
