It’s the way Vw senses if you have a blown bulb (globe) car sends a a pulse causing the led lights to flash on. It’s not enough power to illuminate a old fashioned filament light globe

Hi all,
Fitted a set of LED tail lights to a 2011 amarok 4 cyl.
Installed resistors to the indicators.
When I lock the car the LED tail lights are flickering.
They are always on.
I’ve tried a resistor from the tail light power wire. Doesn’t change anything.
Any ideas ? Here’s a photo from now at daytime.

How do I make it think the globe is fine ?
Resistor in the power wire for the tail lights ?
How would I know what resistor to use ?

It does think that it’s fine. The test will always continue. So it will always flash with an led light.
Disconnect the trailer lead at night or change out to old school lights and you will not have an issue

But other amaroks have aftermarket LEDs and they don’t do this.
There must be a way to fix this ?
