Cheers for the tip. Sounds like a good idea to disolve any nasties stuck in there, but not sure about using a used syringe.

The blockage in mine is mostly from one or more pins that broke off while trying to adjust/unblock it before. It was hard to move so the pin broke rather than the nozzle moving. Why can't these things ever be simple?!!

I'll get to this in the next few days so hopefully I can remove it and it'll work. Cars this old can die a death from a thousand cuts - lots of little things going wrong adding up to too much to fix - so I want to get onto it.

If its got broken pins in it you may want a replacement...

Get Ben to mail one over, but make sure you specify express Airmail.

Hey thanks for that. Yep, pins might be a prick to get out (no pun intended). Don't s'pose you'd know if the one on ebay suits Australian made golfs?

It includes a seal between the jet and the bonnet which I'm not sure mine has. Will check tomorrow.

Anyone know if this part varies from Australian made/'76/LS golfs to German made/later/GLS golfs or if they're compatible??

I've ordered stuff from there before, and yes, it can take a while.

    Cheers
