    Model year? & Starter Button

    Hi

I've got a 4 dr 1.6L '78 GLS Golf- I think its '78 but I don't know the differece between the 1976 - 1979 models - they all seem to look the same from the pics I've seen here. (I've got some pics up in my gallery).

Also I've got a starter button in mine - I'm almost certain it's standard. Is a starter button common in MK1s or is it just in the GLS?

Any advice on one or both of these matters would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Just look at the VIN plate and the month and year is stamped on that - or get the chassis number and that will tell you too The starter button isn't standard
