    Another disappointing day!

So iv'e been on the search for a 2 door to start a project, first one was hit too hard in the front and quite a bit of rust, bin to tazzie a couple of times.. and now i traveled 2 hours to find one with even more rust!

The guy selling it was telling me how i won't know exactly whats wrong with it until i sand blast it however i knew that if i were to sand blast it, it would disappear! haha

so i guess the search continues! i think ill be importing one from the UK! who cares if it costs more! as long as you're satisfied! YOLO

Just realised this is more of a blog entry, so if anyone is thinking of selling their mk1 to someone serious, or knows of one give us a pm.

Also if anyone know who fits in mk4 1.8t engines into mk1 chassis and the do's and donut's of the procedure give us a pm too

Keep looking, mate. They're like buses. If you miss one, another will be along shortly.

A UK car isn't going to be any better.

More rust overseas apparently matey. As the car were sealed better with less drainage thus more rust! Sometimes doing something better means the end result is worse hahaha.

You'll find one eventually.. Good luck!

Word of mouth is, it rains quite alot in Europe.... and they salt the roads too!
Though I'd probably be tempted with all the MK2's over there.
MK2 - *Insert list of dealer purchased extra's/standard features here*
80 series - The MK2's BIG, Sooty, polar opposite...

If you are serious about getting one, I know of one 2 door in Sydney unregistered in good condition (only needs minor work for registration) for $2k - if your interested PM me for details.
