Just went out and took some quick shots, the colour code is clr 719 which i believe is Wattle Yellow. Still has the colour code sticker and some stickers on the underside of the bonnet about the polution gear

Car in completely un tampered with except a push button start due to the ignition switch dying and a cd player put in, but they didnt cut up the door trims for speakers

Also the first time i have seen a working factory vw clock from this era, be it golf, beetle whatever

These new pics arnt that great the light outside was bad.

    Country dust...

great pick up i reckon. well worth it, just need to straigten that front bad, give it a cut and polish, and clean that engine bay and i reckon you are set!

stock orig is cool too .

and yes, that's a swallowtail bonnet, be VERY CAREFUL! when shutting the bonnet don't push down too hard on the front 'swallowtail' bit otherwise it'll ding. like mine.

CLR719 also rings a bell as the CC

yeah 719 is wattle, i have that colour on my mk1.
it's quite a difference to see the colour mixed up in comparison to whats on the car that's a rare find all the same!
    how is it for rust?
(my clock works too! i'm guessing these australian ones were quality built haha!)

    whow that bonnet is mint!

Looks to be rust free, haven't pulled the carpets up but had a good look underneath and it looks good. All the seals are in good condition and the car has always been garaged or under a carport.

Going for a wash and polish this arvo, I reckon the paint will come up tops.

I've still got my other one, it's still being restored.

This one will be left original and kept tidy as a daily drive
