Anyone know anyone who is a good car electrician. Having some minor faults with a few bits. The car had a banging sound system in it before I or Ian owned it and there is wiring that im just not sure about and really need someone who knows there **** and can get it functioning properly for me. Remove the old and replace where required. I have found some problems but generally to do with the MFA, main beam. Some one has fitted a central locking kit and just need someone with the patients to remove what is not required and repair to original. Also really need a dash insert panel as mine is cracked. Anyone help. A cabrio one will work.

    HELP PLEASE

I've just had some auto electrical work done by Stuart at Forest Auto Electrics. I'm about to go and pick up my car this afternoon, but from our exchanges on the phone I'm really happy with what he has done. Maybe give him a try?

Just a quick update. Car has been to Bower Power and had a test, everything is is working as it should and heating up and running a little better. The car was running too rich which is why the idling was really bad.
Had it booked into Peter for the injection overhaul and my exhaust blew a massive hole. Had to get it fully repaired (new muffler and resonator removed with welding and flexible joint as that what cracked in the first place $400). So not up bower power for a couple of weeks now. Other issues is I think the oil cooler is blocked and not working. Not sure how to check that any pointers be appreciated. Dellortos sold on ebay. Ronal R10 turn up soon. Brakes to be bled and checked.

Looking good, Paintz. Glad to see you're still in possession of a Mk1.

I had no idea there were GTi's over here! Mine's just arrived from UK..... taken 2 weeks to get blue slip so far (still waiting!!!!)

Good place to get minor spares (bearings etc)? I just bought some from crazyquiffs but thinking it'd be easier to buy local if possible.

Did you use shorter springs to lower it or coilovers?
