    Front quarter windows

    Hi All,

Got my windows tinted today and they cant put the quarter ones back on because the factory latch was glued to the glass not drilled and bolted through.

The tint guys said I have to either use black silicone (has a special name) to permanently fix the window in
I went to buy the silicone at an auto spares place and he said that wont be strong enough and i need some other sort of window adhesive

either way the window wont be able to be popped in and out like the stock ones do

    Anyone encountered this problem?

I recently re-did mine, and foudn that rear view to windscreen mirror glue really easy to use, however i have read somewhere that you will have to remove the tint, in the little circle where the latch goes, mine aren't tinted, so i just glued em on, and the window in.

    Good luck

forgot to add, you can get it from almost any car shop, like repco etc.

You'll have to double check the part numbers but looks like VW classic parts do them still. Not cheap at 95.58 euros less 19% tax plus postage, which is quite cheap.
