    Removing quarter glass from 1976 mk 1

    Can anyone link me to a thread that will help me swop quarter glass with metal pivots for fixed window quarters please

    take door trim off
    Drill out the Pop rivet holding the metal runner bit that's between quarter window and main window.
    Under screw under rubber sill on top of door. you can now remove that metal bit.
    Pull the quarter window with rubber still attached towards back of car.
    Clean the metal and whatever else.
    Put new non opening rubber around quarter glass, slide it back in.
    Reverse said procedure, you can pop rivet the metal bit back in, or use a screw like i did

    just make sure you slide glass out with the rubber, it will be tight. but i shattered a mint opening glass in my hand....
