From what I understand from talking to an engineer, ADR's require you to maintain 2/3 rds of the original suspension travel and have a clearance of no less than 100mm from the ground, no engineering required. (Anything that falls outside of these limits would be illegal and could not be engineered if you tried).
So that covers ride height... as for approvals on the coils themselves, there is a whole other question. Never asked, but I assume that TUV means squat in Australia.
Bottom line, I don't believe there is anything wrong with coils so long as they meet the above requirements and have any required Australian approvals.
