ill have a look, its hard to figure it out from the book since they dont have any front views of it.
and its at the carby end, its connected to the accelerator lever thing on the carby.

Post a picture of the cylinder and of the passenger side of the carbie. That's usually the side with the idle adjustment.
What carb are we talking about a Solex or a Weber? Either way, I believe with a stock cable it goes though the ferrel (cylinder thingy) and then the long shaft is retained by a spring held in place by a retaining circlip?
heres a oicture of both ferrel ( thankyou doesy) and the passenger side of the carby, theres also this hook type of metal thing that doesnt look like it does anything..

what would everyone think of ssr viennas on a mk1? they look good on mk4/5's not so sure about the old school golfs.
so a parcel from alex g came, 4 b rackets for bumpers, a new rear bumper and 4 of those chrome centre caps.
can someone enlighten me on how to attach the brackets to the bumper ive completely forgotten since i took my others apart. Also, how do i put the hubcaps? on the wheels.

You need clips for the hub caps. Part number is 321601175B. I think I may be able to pick some up over the weekend if you need them! I've got those same caps too, just polished them up recently and they came up a awesomely! :)
