    Front Bumper Protector Question

    Hi all,

I am looking for the rubber stip in the image below as mine is starting to fall of and I have tried fixing it a few times already. Haven't had much luck so far trying to find it.

If its the little black spoiler looking part under the bumper it is held on with body plugs that just spread to hold it on. Pull them out and refit them Its not hard.
The usual reason for it coming loose is driving it over the concrete bump stops in car parks. It is only about 5 inches off the ground and the older stops are 6ins and so catch it. Its only a small car so stop a bit short of hitting these. Wife did it twice and got a right telling off so hasnt done it again.

I have tried many times to refit the under spoiler but I think the actual clips themselves are worn. Basically I just need the part number or something so I can contact VW or a parts specialist to obtain it.

Have you thought to ask VW parts to look them up on their parts computer. Not everyone goes in with part numbers but most come out with the gear.

The clips are in two parts and screw apart then just pull out. Very similar to most generic body plugs I have pulled them out several times and they dont get damaged much They just let the panel pull over the heads and remain in place.

Go to supercheap and ask for scrivets. Probably under $10 for a pack of six. If VW have them in stock they will probably be a minimum of $10 each.

Well i had a look at the front spoiler bumper today and it is beyond repair so have taken it off. Managed to get the part number 6r0805903c from the bumper but its quite difficult to get in the UK so will have to order from germany. Would it be worth replacing it with something else like a splitter?

Tried my local VW this morning, they wanted £53 ($89.22) for the part!!!!! Told them no thanks.

Managed to find it on ebay for just under £20 ($33.67)

Part number is 6R0805903C for REF
