Oil Consumption - 1.8T GTI

[Mi16 Man]

Nothing drastic unlike the 6R's but oil level is slowly dropping since new (now 11K kms in 9 months). Time for a catch can?


Experiment time;

Seafoam?
Subaru UEC?
LiquiMoly Engine Intake Cleaner?

Ended up using Nulon's 'Foaming Intake Cleaner'. She runs like a dog with the AFM out but, after an oil/filter change, throttle application is much smoother.

And, was good to tinker getting the plugs out and, seeing what a mess the dealer made at the last service. Oil everywhere! Bottom plastic tray got a good clean.
