I have some Bridgestone RE003 on mine which I rate highly. Lots of grip wet or dry. Great on track days.

If they are anything like the 002s they don't last long I will be up for replacement after maybe 20k if I am lucky

I don't give my tyres an easy time but they did over 40000 and lasted 2 years. There's no treadwear rating on the side of the 003s so nothing to reference these ones to. I think the 002s were 280?

RE002s are 220. Michelins are 320 and actually better in a straight line. Squidgy in their direction change, but nice once the weight transfers.

It's unreal how different a car can feel with only a set of tyres.

Seems the RE003s are the same 220. I wouldn't want anything higher personally. The rubber would be rock solid after 2 years of heat cycling.

My mate is into his 3rd set of the OEM spec Continentals. As a price, mileage, handling, steering compromise he's very happy with them.

Ive seen a few reviews of those re003s lately gav, they look pretty nice.

Ill have to suss that out rgv, not to keen on heaps soft tyres for the daily. The car was fitted with some new maxxis mv1s on the front just before i bought it, ive done close to 30k kms & there not half worn either. stock everything suspension wise & only 1 happy lap session prob helps though.

brad has he tryed anything else to compare the continys to? what type of continentals do they come stock with?

    cheers lads for the input
