    V-checker + Polo GTI = ?

I haev a V-Checker which I bought purely for reading fault codes and service intervals. However, I would like to remove the '1 touch' central locking (you know, where only the drivers door opens when you press the remote once).

I scrolled to the Central Locking item on the menu, but it came up with communication error. Am I missing something?

What else can the V-checker do on the GTI?

No it wasn't as the manual says to turn ignition off. Is the manual incorrect?

I don't see it working with the ign off. I haven't use a vchecker myself but with my VAG-COM lead I'd need power on to do a similar change to my S3.

I can run diagnostics/trouble codes with Ign off. I'll give it a try with ignition on.

Also depending on what you want to do with it, you need to turn the engine on. ie. if you want to read Intake Temps, etc

Have a look at ross-tech.com there's tutorials on there. Mainly a case of poking about. Is it a genuine cable? Much easier if it is.

Yes... it's genuine Rosstech USB cable. Much much easier with no hassles...
