Hey Sam where the F have you been hiding
My first Deka lasted 3 years and my second still going strong. You can't leave it for more than 2 weeks without starting before it needs a little help. But for $160 a pop and just shy of 15kg weight saving I really don't see any issues. Talking of course completely from first hand experience of above mentioned battery :P

Hey Ant,
Super busy hey! Haven't had much time for the old girl lately unfortunately. I'll be at Happy Laps this weekend though :) (Well I hope so :P)
Good stuff, yeah I figure I need a new battery anyway so I may as well give it a go. I might grab a trickle charger and chuck it on every couple of weeks or so to keep it tip top.
See how we go :)

My battery can't last much longer (2006), i'm keen to buy a replacement before it goes.
I'm not fussed with the standard size, but would love to save a bit of weight. Any options without going to a smaller battery that costs more and has lower cranking amps?

To clear up my question back at the start it would seem because i didnt use the car enough (like maybe once a fortnight at most) this wasnt good for the small battery, so just bought a brand new one ($229) ready for the new owner.
