My workshop has lasercutter, plasmacutter, etched etc.. lol so it's all my disposal for free.
Sorry I seem to have missed it, what cars this going too? The finished product you've done looks quite good by the way..
Pod in a box fitted yesterday, I'll let Dan post his impressions when he has had time to do a few miles.

What are people trying to achieve? A diesel pumps a LOT more air than a gasser and the stock filter doesn't restrict them (the same one is used for the 1.9 PD and the 1.8 20V AFAICT)
So....as Gav mentioned we put in the pod in a box last Thursday and I have to say it's a well designed mod (good job Gav!). Similar to the Jabbasport one you just need to replace the lid of your airbox with the one Gav has designed. The difference is Gav's uses a Unifilter piped into the top of the air filter box, whereas Jabbasport's has the cone shaped filter cut through the top.
Low down throttle response has definitely improved and before boost kicks in you can hear the Unifilter sucking in air - when it comes on boost, spooling noise is much more pronounced (but not to ricer levels!)...it definitely has a very nice induction sound. Combined with the PD160 it's definitely doing a much better job than stock.
I do prefer Gav's solution to the K&N panel I had in there - if you're considering a filter upgrade I'd get in touch with him as the Jabbasport one will cost you $163 delivered to Australia.
I have another one done at a price of $165 plus shipping. I need to keep rolling these over so the old lid needs to get back to me. I have a decent network of folks around the East coast and beyond so this might not need to be via Auspost.
I have a trip planned to Melbourne in a couple of weeks so happy to hand carry for someone down there. And probably could fit it too.
Same Unifilter as before.
