Gearbox oil leak

Yup ^

I cut up some gardening hose to jam in the hole and made a funnel to fill from above. Easy as.

Would "Valvoline 75w-85 duragear synthetic blend API GL-4" do the trick?
Is it a hypoid gearbox?
