Well folks, the replacement blower rocked up this arvo. Thanks NP!

I wasted no time giving the outside a bit of a clean up. Then I went to fit the actuator off the original turbo, the new one is from an A3 and the pipe had a different orientation. Failed, went back to the Audi actuator and wriggled a bit of length on the pipe to make it fit.

Took a good while to fit it. Ran it about an hour ago and didn't get any leaks.

Note to self, don't remove a turbo then leave it 4 days to fit the replacement. You will forget where all the bolts go if like me you just chuck them all in a box.

Ready to go in. Cleaned off and water pipe fitted up with new copper washers, everywhere.

Oil line swilled out with brake cleaner. No crap came out.

Turbo fitted up and bolted on. New bolts, notice also that there is no silencer on the outlet on this one.

Novelty use of the jack to get the turbo in and out of the top.

I'll take it for a run tomorrow after work and see how it performs.

Good to see it's starting to happen Gav.
Are you going to replace the S3 with the Pogo at Happy Laps?

More Ks on now. Seems pretty happy. VCDS lead on the way to Sydney with a guy from work. Will take it to work tomorrow night and do logs on the way home.

The seats are pretty comfy and I have now connected the drivers one so the heating works! LOL

Soldered in some resistors for the SAI 249 delete and cleared the light with Torque. Still got a fault registered but hopefully that will go of it's own accord like it did on the S3 and some other Polo's.

I took a few pictures of that one my phone which I'll post later on.

    Plug cut off

    Sticky heatshrink

Heated up and folded over, so it sticks to itself.

Couple of tywraps to finish it off.

    Blanking plate fitted

Took the TPS switch out which had stopped working. Must have been binding on something, as it is OK now and that's all the warning lights gone off the dash.

I don't reckon I'll go for laps in it on wobbly standard shocks and springs.
