I was a bit iffy doing this. Is this the bracket that seems to be bolted to the top of the diff casing where cables go through? I found they were ok and could be manouvered around because they have a fair amount of give to them but I really didn't want to be touching those transmission cables in case I did something wrong to them, which for me is highly likely. I did after all drop an allen key, airboxs screw AND a socket head all into the engine bay! lol. But I guess if you did get those cable bolts loose the extra room would be usefull. However the coolant pipe bolt is a necessity I found & cannot be avoided.
No need to be iffy so long as the car is in neutral, but its good that exercised caution and forethought before you did it...I'm glad you got it all sorted though Mozzy, good for you.
To Plautos...Try wiping some soapy water or liquid soap around the inner surface of the TIP Flange where it meets the Turbo. This helped me greatly. Also, swearing at it loudly, and threatening violence against it will get it in.
