thanks guys,
I planed to speak to consumer affair people and ask them for advice, just havent got the time to. I dont want to make a big fuss over a small iPod. However, its the attitude of the sales and the way they approach the situiation was dishonest. Disregard whether they give me the iPod or not, I deeply believe that they owe me an apology. I have written an official letter of complaint to the head manager of the vw premise.
As what George pointed out, I will close this thread for now. I'll update the outcome though.

Hoyhoy.
My first visit back to the VW dealer from where I bought the Pog. this week in 11 months.
Had no complaints when I purchased nor do I have now.
But this week had a exhaust warning light come on, went in off the street
& was seen to straight away (which they deleted with their computer) & said
if it comes on again to come straight back.
Well 2 days later it did, & again, off the street, they looked at it immediately,
1 hour later they said thankyou all fixed, found a split vacuum hose.
So I said thankyou for the prompt service & hooroo while I was finishing their coffee.
What else can I say but bloody ripper. Me stay with VW for sometime.
P.S. This dealer is at Tweed Heads.

By the way not 1 other problem with this little girl.
She's beautiful. Which is more than I can say about the driver .

While it is not cool for dealers (or anyone for that matter) to not live up to what they promise, there is a lot to be said for approaching them about the problem with the appropriate attitude/manners or tact. You may be surprised how a far a calm attitude will get you. It does not matter who it is but if people are approached with a hostile manner they will immediately go on the offensive and not be open to helping you...just my 2 cents worth..

Absolutely agree... if it is all written on the purchasing contract then they CANNOT get out of it or ask you to pay for it.
No matter how trivial you think the item is you should get it all included on the contract of sale. Never trust a verbal statement as it can always be denied later.

i wrote a letter of complaint, addressed it to the sales manager, and havnt hear from them since then...looks like they are ignoring me??? well, i filled up a complaint form, going down to department of fair trading tmr. see what happen next.

Best of luck mate, sorry to hear you have so much trouble. But you just gotta deal with it. You won't believe the hard trouble I've gotten from Citylink failing to register my own pug properly in their systems, looking at 4 x $100 notices from the Police following their incompetence. It has been an absolute pain to have to follow it up and explain how incompetent they are.
