Brake Pads - Replacement

Well, my day at Wakefield warped my front rotors and the pads overheated and are now breaking up.

Can anyone recommend a cheap but reasonable replacement pads (front only)?

I don't intend on tracking the car again unless I get new rotors and pads to suit, so its only for 'spirited' driving and I'm not a late braker...

Not good to hear that your rotors warped.

I'd go Dixcel rotors and EBC pads if you're going to keep your standard caliper setup, otherwise look at upgrading to a R32 setup.

For the moment I just want my car road functional, when I'm thinking about tracking again will think about upgrades to r32 or slotted rotors, etc.

One option is Bendix but I've heard mixed results. Experiences of Pogs would be ideal, pads seem to vary hugely depending on the vehicle and characteristics.

I was in the same boat, never intend to track the car, so I ended up going with EBC GreenStuff. No complaints here, but other people don't seem to like them and will talk you into the Red or Yellow variants, however EBC also do a standard replacement pad. If that was your first track day then your brakes are fine. . I HAD to replace mine after 3 track days. Now after the last wakie i need to change the fluid. Ordered the martini fluid yesterday so hopefully can change in the next few days

Don't know mate, pads have been noisy since trackday. Thought it was going to be glazed pads, but has not gone away. Plenty of pad left, but mechanic is telling me they're shot (due to overheating). VW pads are around $180, so may as well get something cheap or better.
