    9N3 GTI Timing Belt Service

    Hi all,

I'm looking to get a major service done on my 9N3 GTI but looking for advice on avoiding stealership parts prices.
Has anyone else done a similar service lately and can provide the go to place to buy parts these days?
Would be great to be able buy everything in one go.

    Cheers!

I'm looking to have the job done by a mechanic and buying the parts myself.

Confirm with the mech he is ok with you supplying parts. Warranty for the job could be a problem if your parts failed.
Be aware that the polo has different hardware to other 1.8t motors. You must get parts specific for the BJX engine

I've already been supplying parts to my mechanic for a while now and he is happy to fit them.
Thanks for the heads up on the BJX engine code.
I was really hoping someone has bought major service parts recently and could link me to a reliable store.

All depends on the parts you are after!
Genuine OEM is best although some aftermarket parts are good if not better in some regards.
Belt+kit and WaterPump you can pickup from Sparesbox
Gaskets and seals are from all over, Elring is the company but you need third party to deal with getting their parts
That's it from the top of my head
