    Mk7 Golf R Resonator delete - SYDNEY

whos done res delete on their R in sydney ?

stopped past HI TECH MUFFLER in darlinghurst based on someones advice in another thread and got quoted $250.

told the guy ive seen people say its an $80 job and he said he uses stainless steel and if i want for $80 to go somewhere else and if i want it done itll take him 10 minutes and $250.

not sure if he was trying to hussle me.

can anyone confirm how much res delete with a stainless piece costs and where theyve had it done ?

    thanks !

Not Sydney but Rob Bliss in Brisbane charged $140 and added bolting plates on so it's a bolt on bolt off piece. $110 without the bolting plates. 1 hour job.

I did my res delete there and also paid what you got quoted- it is expensive but I was in the area and time poor so went with them... They did a custom exhaust on my previous car and their workmanship is pretty good!

Another place I've been that did my dump pipe was castle hill exhaust (not sure what they would charge but definitely less than $250!!)

    Mullerhaus in South Strathfield.

More expensive than what you've been quoted but it's a replica OEM straight pipe, not a weld job. It uses the original clamps.

Paul is a great guy as well, did my R Wagon as per this video:

Mullerhaus - Our first res delete install on a MK7R Wagon.... GOD IT SOUNDS GOOD !
    - Standard downpipe
    - Standard exhaust
    - Mullerhaus res delete

Would you get one done to your wagon?

Does it have any drone in your wagon? Is it just a pipe and nothing else?

I bought and installed the OEM Audi Res delete kit. The drone inside the cabin around 2500-3000rpm is annoying me enough that I'm thinking about going back to stock.

Flaps coded open and delete done at Rob Bliss in Brisvegas. It’s not welded either it’s bolted on one end and sleeved at the other. YouTube
