"Official Dealer Stock" threads for specific model sub-forums

    Dear VW Dealers,

As you are all aware, there is a "Dealers Specials and General Information" sub-forum which exists for you to place threads about stock, events and specials occuring at your dealership. However, it has been observed that forum members often focus on their specific model sub-forums of interest rather than constantly exploring the site, and therefore placing posts in relevant threads in the current model sub-forums can lead to more interest generated for the dealer.

As such we have decided to trial a "Dealer Stock Thread" in the MK6 Golf and Polo 6R sub-forums. These new threads will be a "Sticky" thread listed with the other stickies at the top of their respective sub-forums, they will be "Closed" so that general forum members cannot post and only the relevant information is present, and they will be open to any dealer who would like to participate.

If the trial is successful, then we will look to expand this concept to other current model sub-forums, particularly where there is high demand.

There are some rules that we'd like to state in relation to this thread and the sub-forums:
    • For a car to be eligible to be listed, it must be in stock or in transit. At a minimum you must already have the VIN. Please do not list cars which are not yet allocated a VIN.
    • Please use the template provided below to keep things uniform and ensure all information is provided. You can use the "Additional comments" line to put in extra information relevant to that car you so desire, including posting a photo if it is of the ACTUAL car on offer, or stock codes etc.
    • Posting of prices is not required as this obviously varies due to different state regulations. If you do list a price, please be very clear about what it represents!
    • It is your responsibility to ensure the posts are updated regularly
    • If you'd like to add addition information about your dealership, such as special offers, other cars, etc, please post a link in the "Contact Details" back to the relevant thread that you have posted in the Dealers Specials and General Information forum.
    • If forum members report misconduct (such as the belief that cars do not exist or are not yet built) then we may chose to remove your post from the thread.
    • Posting your own threads in model sub-forums has always been discouraged. But since we're now providing this method, separate threads will not be allowed.
    • Posting stocks lists in other threads will not be allowed ("Prices and Specifications" threads, "How to track your car" etc).

As the threads will be "Closed" you will not be able to post directly in them. So we ask that you post here with your initial "stock listing" using the template we have provided and then a moderator will move your post to the relevant thread. As such, if you would like to partiticapte in both the MK6 Golf and Polo 6R threads, please make two posts, one for each model.

Here is a link to each thread:
    Golf MK6 Dealer Stock Thread
    Polo 6R Dealer Stock Thread

Once the post has been moved, you will then be able to edit the post as much as you'd like. Posts will be listed in the order that they are created - so "first in first served".

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to post here, PM Corey_R, or PM The_Hawk.
