More than four years after starting this thread I have a further edition to add. I had the waterpump and supercharger again replaced today. I had been experiencing the squeal noise for the past two years. The tech's could not replicate the noise and as such would not replace the part as I had a replacement in 2010. I submitted that the 2010 replacement did not have the improved adhesive on the clutch face and was just another old style supercharger clutch. After taking a video of the noise and emailing directly to VW they decided to replace the waterpump and supercharger again. Only took four inspections and seven complaints to get it done.

What was wrong with your two superchargers?

My car is getting a supercharger replaced next week, is it a big job? Do they have to remove the engine to get to it??
