The official I have ordered/received my new MKVI thread

I don't think you can turn off the DRLs off for xenons as the DRL is practically the whole headlight and not the little parkers.

There was a thread about it a while ago i'll try to find it for you.

Thanks for that. Shame because I don't really want them on the whole time but if that's the way it is, then that's the way it is.

I've confirmed with the dealer service dept. that the button on the wheel should work (they checked with VWA).

And while I was there, he checked if there was an update on the DRLs and the official word is that there 'may' be a fix in the future.

Well I finally picked up my GTI on Thursday. It looked so beautiful in the showroom with it's red bow on it. It was a shame it was pouring rain outside so as soon as they took it out of the show room it got filthy.

So far I've done 300 kms and have loved every minute of it. I haven't really taken it over 4000 rpm yet but have just been trying to keep the loads varied and not baby it too much. Can't wait till it hits 1500 kms so I can see what it can really do!

Picked my GTI up on Saturday. Dealer asked whether I wanted DRLs on or not as they can be turned off but it is a complicated process. I said leave them for the moment and she advised anytime if I want them off to get in come in and they would do it. So they can be turned off. I have no problem with them on, but I am at day 3 only.

$1000.00 deposit down for VW golf 90TSI manual. Really wanted TDI DSG Comfortline and tossed and turned between car and europe in 2 weeks.

So i took car+ 2 months in europe. But something tells me i'll be trading in next year!

Dealt with David from Bill Buckle! Did better than my corporate discount with NSW law society! woot woot!

Got my Mk6 GTI on saturday, no issues at all, 15km delivery k's, went for a nice 100km fang... what a car!

Well after asking for three weeks regarding the delivery date of my Gti, I was told today the it is being built the week of 21 June :<

Wont be getting it until end August. The wait, ahh the wait!

Has anyone dealt through Bayford in Hawthorn? PM me if you have any comments.

Hey, got a call from the dealer today and my GTI will be ready this Friday at 3pm....nearly wet myself with excitement :-) The car only arrived in the country on Mon 31/5 and dealer will receive it tomorrow (9/6) and I'll get it on 11/6. Less than 2 weeks from arrival to delivery! Happy days.

Someone else had a car on the Asian Dynasty in SA and was told late June delivery - hopefully you'll be getting it about 2 weeks earlier!
