The official I have ordered/received my new MKVI thread

I had a build date initially week 9, changed to week 10 and then moved to week 7 - I guess because the delay in parts for other VW's like the R - so I would like to thank you as my GTI has now been built and is on its way to Bremerhaven.

Insist on evidence that build slots are confirmed. Ie Nadcon screen prints.
After speaking with just two dealers I had a choice of 6 vehicles - 3 or 5 door, acc or no.

How much extra did you have to pay to have gratification now? RRP?

Well, Klinky, I paid the same rate as the original one.
I ended up paying $53,500 on road for 3door, DSG, ACC,and Bluetooth.
I was happy with that considering the exclusivity of the model at the moment.
to be honest I would have paid over RRP to get one now, as I think they are undervalued.

I feel for you mate, i was in the same boat as you, kept getting the runaround from dealer, not their fault of course.
thankfully there seems to be a bit of stock at the dealerships at the moment as a result of them receiving their holding stock orders before VW put a stop to it.
I heard from a sales person at a Melbourne dealership last Friday, that they had just been informed by VW group that no further orders would be accepted for some models ( R and polo GTI ) until further notice.
Sure the dealer can put your order into Nadcon, but it stays in the system as "pre-scheduling" and wont be picked up by VW Oz untill they can place order with Germany.
As soon as I heard this, I decided to get what I could as my dealer admitted that it would be after August for my original order (ordered on 14 August).
Fortunately My original dealer had no objection in refunding my deposit.
I am not trying to sew dissent here, just repeating what i am being told.

Can't complain about that........I got it admit that I am nervous about ever seeing the car.....problem is I don't know what else to get. Renault RS megane is out simply because of the limited number of dealers in Aust for servicing......plus the golf interior has spoiled me........perhaps a new FPV GS with a tweak to the supercharger...........dunno

Mate, do a ring around, like I said in a previous post, I had a choice between about 8 cars.
and that was with just two dealers.
Austral in bris, and Berwick in Melb. all brand new with no klm on them, not Demo's.

Yeh, I got the UG also - looks hot with 19"s
Candy White is what my mother in law would choose, and the blue is too "look at moi"
Also, Rising Blue sounds too much like a porn film title!

A mate has a black with black wheels on order. Can't wait to see his bat-mobile when it arrives!

I was in the same position, Aug order, Jan delivery - found out in Dec that it would be may, or june, or...

Decided to find another, found one coming in on a boat, pretty much had everything I wanted - just traded the Dynaudio for Recaro's!
There's lots of cars around, just a matter of compromise...
