Changing order from dealer

Just wondering if anybody knew at which point after placing an order with the dealer are you able to change some of the optional extras due to a change if mind? I original didnt order the xenons but now would prefer having them on my csg gti golf

it all depends where it is in the system...

if ur order is a frozen status in the system, then you won't be able to modify ur order....

You will need to talk to your dealer about this.
If the order has been accepted by factory it is normally locked in to a production schedule which will mean any changes are not possible to modify. If that has happened you can cancel your order and place a new one with what ever you want but that will mean an additional delay in production, you could be lucky and delivery time may be identical.

You need to tell us when you placed the order for any advice.

The car I'm getting was ordered by the dealer as floor stock in November. I was able to have the build changed to what I want in February with the car being built on 21st March. So I'd say probably changeable up to about a month before the build.

hello all, i ordered it at the very end of december. i asked the dealer for an update and he gave me a screen shot of the transport information screen showing details of the ship (morning carol) that will be delivering my car. It shows that the current location is still in germany and the ETA for the vessel is 25/5. So i guess its a bit late to change the order! Which leads to the next question; if i cancel the order, do you think the dealer would take my deposit even if i place another order with the dealer?

You can't change your order now.. it has been built, however you can cancel the order and get your deposit back if the expected delivery date is later than the contract date. I think that they wont have an issue in moving your car so they should give you your deposit back, but if you are going to do it makre it sooner than later
